Meetings & Events
Autumn term 2020 fundraising was mostly virtual due to Covid:
sponsored event
Rags 2Riches4Schools
Buying Personalised water bottles and hand sanitisers
Virtual Christmas raffle
Hide & Seek with Santa
Dates of meetings will be in the weekly school newsletter, on our Facebook Page – or do ask any of us for details.
Minutes from HSA meetings are available on request.
We’re always looking for volunteers to help at events throughout the year. If you can help, even if only for a single event, we’d be very grateful. Please contact us via the form below.
Class Cake Stalls
These are currently cancelled due to the covid pandemic
Throughout the year, each class will host two cake stalls, with the money raised going directly to the class to spend as they choose. The dates are on the website calendar and the office will remind you when it is your child’s class turn and the children will be asking you to bake and buy. Parents are also needed to run the cake stall for their class – collect float and paper bags from the office.
Other ways to raise money for the school
Raise money by shopping or searching online
You can raise money for the HSA when you shop online – at no cost to you!
You can now support the Harwell School Association when you shop at Amazon.
Simply start from Amazon Smile, search for Harwell School Association or our Charity Number 1129793.
Select ‘Harwell School Association’ and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisations selected by customers.
You can also raise money at a range of other retailers like Argos, Sainsburys, M&S, John Lewis, Debenhams, HMV, Vodafone, The Body Shop, Interflora and many more. See https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/harwellprimary/ for details.
You can even raise funds just by doing an online search! See http://harwellprimary.easysearch.org.uk.
Use a stamp instead of name tapes!
Buy a personalised name stamp from Stamptastic and enter the code OX110HX (the school’s postcode, without spaces) at the checkout. Stamptastic will then donate up to 30% of your order value to the HSA! For more information, see www.stamptastic.co.uk or the Stamptastic leaflet.
